Our Journey

Our Story

2008
Studio Founded
Heet Bhavsar establishes Z-axis Atelier in Vadodara with a team of three, and a shared conviction to do things differently.
2011
First Major Commission
The Serenova Residence in Vadodara wins the Gujarat Architecture Prize, establishing Z-axis as a name to watch.
2015
Commercial Expansion
First commercial masterplan commission for a 4-acre mixed-use development in Pune signals the studio's growing ambition.
2018
International Recognition
Dezeen Awards shortlist for the Vista Villa project. Z-axis gains its first international commissions in Dubai and Singapore.
2022
Studio of the Year
Named Studio of the Year at the Dezeen Awards. Team grows to 14, with new sustainability and BIM capabilities.
2024
The Atelier Today
120+ projects completed. The Aurum Residence wins Architectural Excellence Award. Z-axis enters its most ambitious decade yet.
